Laura Dekker’s two-year journey at sea was made into a moving documentary

Laura Dekker was not your typical 13-year old. The Dutch teen had a dream; she wanted to sail all around the world by herself. Having been raised on a boat in New Zealand for the first five years of her life, Dekker felt most at home on the sea. Enduring a ten-month court battle to allow her to make the trip, Maidentrip is a beautiful documentary which follows Dekker on her inspiring two-year journey filled with choppy waters, solitude, and the joy of living out her dream.
