A Photography Competition Saves Lives

The unique route to clean water in Africa

http://

Sometimes competition can be healthy, especially when it benefits others. Meet River to Well (RTW), an annual photography competition in which all entry fees go to building wells and providing clean water in Africa. RTW was started by a group of close friends who decided to volunteer their efforts to merge good doing with art. Partnering with the nonprofit Vox United, River to Well’s goal is to give potable water to those who lack, ultimately improving their daily lives and minimizing sickness and poverty.
Getting involved is easy; applicants may submit as many photos as they please into one of three categories: professional, amateur and student. Prize winners are picked from each division and their work will be displayed in various galleries throughout the United States. If you are interested in applying, all photo submissions must be received by September 30.
This win-win initiative provides a platform – and prizes – for talented photographers, while giving water to those in need. [Source: River to Well]
